PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a horizontally burying type geothermal heat exchange structure which is the geothermal heat exchange structure having a pipeline substantially-horizontally buried and, even when a storage water tank buried underground is not used, has high heat exchange rate and has reduced installation expenses, and to provide a heat pump system using the horizontally burying type geothermal heat exchange structure.SOLUTION: In a horizontally burying type geothermal heat exchange structure, at least one fluid path is buried on a heat exchange region in which a water shielding sheet for covering the bottom part of the region having a predetermined depth from a predetermined position from the ground surface formed underground and a predetermined area and edge surfaces continuing upward from the bottom edge parts is laid such that the longitudinal direction of the fluid path becomes substantially horizontal. A manufacturing method of the geothermal heat exchange structure and a heat pump system using the geothermal heat exchange structure is also provided.
