A method for treating psoriasis in an animal, comprising administering a composition comprising an effective amount of an isolated anti-IL-12 antibody, comprising a heavy chain complementarity determining region 1 (CDR1) comprising the amino acid sequence with not more than one conservative substitution from the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:1, a heavy chain complementarity determining region 2 (CDR2) comprising the amino acid sequence with not more than one conservative substitution from the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:2, a heavy chain complementarity determining region 3 (CDR3) comprising the amino acid sequence with not more than one conservative substitution from the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:3, a light chain complementarity determining region 1 (CDR1) comprising the amino acid sequence with not more than one conservative substitution from the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:4, a light chain complementarity determining region 2 (CDR2) comprising the amino acid sequence with not more than one conservative substitution from the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:5, and a light chain complementarity determining region 3 (CDR3) comprising the amino acid sequence with not more than one conservative substitution from the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:6, wherein the antibody is a variant of the antibody comprising the heavy chain CDR1 amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:1, the heavy chain CDR2 amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:2, the heavy chain CDR3 amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:3, the light chain CDR1 amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:4, the light chain CDR2 amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:5, and the light chain CDR3 amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:6, to said animal.
