<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a phase control device or the like that limits an advance amount and a retard amount of a cam shaft phase angle that cannot be correctly operated temporarily in such a low-rotation region that a rotation variation of an internal combustion engine becomes large and the internal combustion engine reversely rotates, and can calculate the correct advance amount and the retard amount when a cam is adhered to an advance side when the cam is at an intake side, and adhered to a retard side when the cam is at an exhaustion side.SOLUTION: The cam shaft phase angle for controlling a valve timing change mechanism is calculated from a detected crank angle position and a cam angle position, and in accordance with the number of revolutions of the internal combustion engine, and when the calculated cam shaft phase angle appears at the advance side when the cam shaft phase angle is at an intake valve side, and when the angle appears at the retard side when the angle is at an exhaustion valve side, update control is executed to the calculated cam shaft phase angle.</p> |
