PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase amplification efficiency of a wideband signal by means of simple processing and configuration in a configuration adopting an envelope tracking method.SOLUTION: A signal generation device 101 generates an envelope tracking signal that is a signal corresponding to an envelope of a target signal which is fed to a power supply 151 that changes a supply voltage or supply current supplied to an amplifier 153 in accordance with the envelope tracking signal. The signal generation device 101 includes a function generation section 1 for, on the basis of the envelope of the target signal, generating a control function that is a function different from a function representing the envelope which approximates at least part of the envelope, and an operation section 2 for generating the envelope tracking signal, which indicates a waveform including at least part of a waveform represented by the control function generated by the function generation section 1.
