A mobile terminal comprises: a display unit outputting image information; a receiver disposed above the display unit and converting an electric signal to output a sound; a first microphone disposed beside the receiver and converting a sound to an electric signal; a case in which the display unit, the receiver, and the first microphone are installed, and which includes a penetration window at the front face to expose the display unit therethrough, a receiver hole disposed at an upper portion of a first opening to expose the receiver, and a microphone hole disposed beside a second opening to expose the first microphone; a waterproof tape interposed between the receiver and the inner circumference of the receiver hole; a waterproof filter, which does not pass water while passing air, covering the microphone hole at the inside; and a window glass combined to the front of the case to cover the penetration window and including an opening to expose the receiver hole and the microphone hole. A front appearance of the mobile terminal can be simplified since the mobile terminal has only one opening as seen from the outside, and a separate hole communicating with the receiver and the microphone is formed in a front case to make the front case waterproof. |
