PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbonyl sulfide absorbent and a method of processing carbonyl sulfide which enable carbonyl sulfide to be inexpensively and easily processed.SOLUTION: Carbonyl sulfide-containing gas is contacted with an absorbent containing amine indicated by the following general formula (1). Here, (n) is an integer of 1 to 4. Ris a hydrogen group or a methyl group. When n is 2 or larger, Rbonding to different carbon each may be the same group, or may also be a different group. Ris a group bonding to an optional position of an aromatic ring, and is selected from the hydrogen group, an alkyl group of the carbon number of 1-6, an aryl group, a substituted aryl group, a halogen group and an alkoxy group of the carbon number of 1-4. The Rbonding to a different position of the aromatic ring each may be the same group, or may also be a different group. |
