A device for aiding the working of large mechanical parts comprises a first flange (110) and a second flange (120) for holding in position a first part (210) and second part (220). Each flange (110; 120) comprises a support (2) and actuators (5) which can be controlled individually and each have a mobile portion. The actuators (5) are mounted on their respective support (2) in such a way that their mobile portions are displaceable substantially in the same plane so as to project from the support (2) in question. The actuators (5) of the second flange (120) are mounted on the second support (2) in an equivalent manner to the actuators (5) of the first flange (110). The first flange (110) and the second flange (120) are connected to one another with the possibility of relative displacement under the action of additional actuators (300, 310). This displacement includes at least a component of translation substantially perpendicular to the common planes of the mobile portions of the actuators (5). |
