摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the novel construction of a deenergizing operation type electromagnetic brake for hardly increasing power consumption and the amount of heat generation and achieving a smaller size than conventional one while securing sufficient magnetic path and magnetic attraction. SOLUTION: The deenergizing operation type electromagnetic brake 1 includes a yoke 2 having an exciting coil 4, a plate 6 opposed to the yoke 2, a braking part 8 arranged between the yoke 2 and the plate 6 turnably around a reference axis C of the yoke 2, an armature 10 arranged between the yoke 2 and a braking part 8 non-turnably around the reference axis C and movably toward the reference axis C, and a fastening member 12 for fastening the plate 6 to the yoke 2. The exciting coil 4 is not overlapped with the fastening member 12 in view from a direction approximately perpendicular to the reference axis C, and the exiting coil 4 is overlapped with at least part of the fastening member 12 in view from the direction of the reference axis C.
