The device (1) has a mobile bench (2) and a principal vertical structure (3) including a tool storage unit (5) in an upper part of the principal vertical structure. An arrangement space (37) is provided in a lower part of the mobile bench. A guidance unit (4) is arranged for guiding displacement of the mobile bench between a storage position in which the mobile bench is placed within the arrangement space under the storage unit, and a usage position in which the bench is independent of the vertical structure.
