PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid detachment of adhesive sheet for connection which connects old long body with new long body.SOLUTION: The sheet applying device 10 comprises: connecting means 15 which pastes adhesive sheet for connection SS on terminal end edge RS1r of the old long body RS1 and tip edge RS2f of the new long body RS2 to connect them under a condition where the extended directions of the old long body RS1 and the new long body RS2 are identical; delivery means 16 capable of delivering the old long body RS1 and the new long body RS2; detaching means 18 capable of folding the old long body RS1 and the new long body RS2 applied with tension to detach adhesive sheet AS at a detaching position PP from them; and folding recovering means 20 which recover the old long body RS1 and the new long body RS2 from folding at the detaching position PP. |
