PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine for vehicle, capable of making longitudinal length and width length of the engine compact in size even if a clutch actuating unit and a weight of a balancer shaft are arranged on the same side in an engine width direction.SOLUTION: A clutch is arranged on a right end side of a main shaft 23. The main shaft 23, on a left end side thereof, is disposed with a clutch actuating unit 60 which switches clutch engagement and disengagement by operation of a clutch lever, via a push rod inserted through the main shaft 23. On a left side at a left end of the main shaft 23 in a crank case 4, a balancer housing part 20B for housing a weight 30C and a clutch actuating unit housing part 61 for housing the clutch actuating unit 60 are formed. In a side view, the clutch actuating unit housing part 61 is formed so that the clutch actuating unit 60 to be housed overlaps the balancer housing part 20B, and is formed inside the balancer housing part 20B in an engine width direction. |
