FIELD: rescue equipment.SUBSTANCE: device for descent from the height relates to individual life-saving disposable equipment, used in case of fires in high-rise buildings. The purpose of the invention is to increase the reliability of the device during long-term storage. The said purpose is achieved by the fact that in the device comprising two ribbons fastened together with a sewing thread, the device of the thread destruction is made in the form of a thermal knife heated by electrical current or the pyrotechnic heaters. Between the ribbons in the longitudinal direction of the wedge guide is passed, smoothly changing into the housing of the device, inside which the batteries of electrical current, wires, a switch, a resistor and the heating elements are placed. In another embodiment of the device, the thermal knife is beset with the pyrotechnic heaters. In case of fire the rescued person puts on the lifebelt attached to the housing of the device and leaves the building. The thermal knife heated by electrical current of the batteries or the pyrotechnic heaters burns through the thread fastening the two ribbons, and enables the device housing, and the rescued person with it, to slide between the ribbons with a certain, predetermined speed.EFFECT: device resistor with electrical heating of the thermal knife enables to adjust the temperature of its heating and thus to take into account the weight of the rescued person to ensure the safe speed of the descent.3 cl, 10 dwg, 3 tbl |
