Provided is an electronic device that is capable of measuring a degree of wearout of shoes used in running. A body movement detection section (105) measures the number of steps of a user during running. A CPU (101) calculates a degree of wearout that indicates to what extent the shoes used by the user have been worn out, based on the number of steps measured by the body movement detection section (105).
