Providing aligned registration process and procedure for heterogeneous and/or overlaid access technologies within a network. In one innovative aspect, a method of generating and organizing wireless network access information is provided. The method includes receiving first information (e.g. number of TAUs, PHY-ID) for a first area of a first radio access technology (e.g. LTE) for a network. The method further includes receiving second information (e.g BSIC, scrambling code, amount of LAUs, etc.) for a second area of a second radio access technology (e.g. WCDMA or GSM) for the network. The method also includes receiving third information (e.g. optimization configuration, like weighting factor indicating prioritizing one RAT or technology over the other, static, semi-static or dynamic parameter) for the network. The method then includes generating, processing, and aligning (e.g. mapping) a number of groups of first radio access technology (LTE) location or registration identifiers (e.g. TAIs) coordinated (related or associated) with second radio access technology (WCDMA or GSM) identifiers (LAIs or RAIs) based at least in part on the received first, second, and third information. The groupings may be based on the quantity of devices, types of devices, and/or the number of physical access points.
|
