A pneumatic actuator of a ground catapult with a free piston consists of two pistons arranged in a single cylinder and forming between them an intermediate chamber, one of which is leading and connected to a transmission. In the chamber upstream of the slave piston the cylinder end is plugged and houses an air dispenser and the slave piston is free.
