<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biomass gasification apparatus that is compact and can produce a synthetic gas from raw material biomass in a high yield and to provide a biomass gasification method. <P>SOLUTION: The biomass gasification apparatus is a biomass gasification apparatus (1) for producing a synthetic gas by steam reforming a product gas generated by partial oxidization of raw material biomass and comprises the primary reaction vessel (10) for generating a product gas by reacting raw material biomass with an oxidizing gasifying agent while dropping raw material biomass, a gasifying agent supply pipe (40) for introducing the oxidizing gasifying agent toward a flow path F for dropping raw material biomass in the primary reaction vessel (10), the secondary reaction vessel (20) provided in the primary reaction vessel (10) for producing a synthetic gas by introducing the product gas together with steam into the inside thereof and a steam supply pipe (15) for supplying steam to the secondary reaction vessel (20) wherein the reaction space in the secondary reaction vessel demarcated from the space in the primary reaction vessel by a thermally conductive partition wall is filled with a reforming catalyst (25) and the reaction space is disposed in the flow path F for dropping raw material biomass. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
