Provided is a camera position/posture evaluation device that is capable of calculating a value that represents an evaluation of a condition of a camera from a viewpoint of how suitable a condition of an object that appears in an image is for image processing. A resolution evaluation means (71) calculates a first degree of suitability relevant to each position in a target area from a viewpoint of resolution. A gaze-point angle evaluation means (72) calculates a second degree of suitability relevant to each position in the target area. A target area evaluation means (73) calculates a third degree of suitability from a viewpoint of overlapping of a target object viewing area with the target area. A comprehensive evaluation means (74) calculates an evaluation index that indicates a degree of suitability of a camera condition for image processing on the basis of the first degree of suitability relevant to each position in the target area, second degree of suitability relevant to each position in the target area, and third degree of suitability. |
