PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a simple and well-fitted structure which ensures the locking strength of a seat back.SOLUTION: A vehicle seat 1 includes a lock device 5 capable of locking a backrest angle of a seat back 2. The lock device 5 has a meshing lock mechanism 10, a wire 20, and a bending holding mechanism 30. The meshing lock mechanism 10, which is provided between the seat back 2 and a seat cushion 3, has locking strength capable of locking the backrest angle of the seat back 2 at an optional angle position by meshing. The wire 20, which is stretched between the seat back 2 and the seat cushion 3, has a tension strength capable of receiving large load input into the seat back 2. The bending holding mechanism 30, which is structured to hold in a bent state an intermediate stretched portion of the wire 20 by drawing it in diagonally rearward and downward, holds the wire 20 in a taut state of being capable of receiving the large load at each position where the backrest angle of the seat back 2 is locked. |
