PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lamination type lithium ion secondary battery capable of preventing deterioration in battery characteristics caused by an electrode cut face, and of having a high long-term reliability.SOLUTION: In a secondary battery formed so that a positive electrode is laminated on a negative electrode via a separator, the positive electrode and the negative electrode are cut into a predetermined electrode size. A cut face of the cut positive electrode is coated with a cut end surface coating layer consisting of an adhesion substance. Substance that does not penetrate nonaqueous electrolyte solution, such as any one of an insulator, a metal, and a semiconductor, is selected as the adhesion substance. |
