The method involves providing a vehicle with two retractable rearview mirrors (3, 4) having respective actuator (5). A signal for the retraction of outside rearview mirror is provided. A driver seat (6) is folded from remotely located outside mirror. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a motor vehicle; (2) a computer program for performing method for reducing width of motor vehicle temporarily; and (3) a computer program product for reducing width of motor vehicle temporarily.
