PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaft connecting mechanism hardly causing looseness in the direction of the axial periphery between one rotary shaft and the other rotary shaft even by long-term use, capable of reducing impact when reversing an output rotary shaft of an electric motor, transmission to a steering wheel of brush vibration of the electric motor, and an abnormal sound such as tooth hitting and vibration caused by a backlash of a worm gear, capable of improving a steering feeling of a driver, and capable of avoiding early deterioration.SOLUTION: A shaft connecting mechanism 1 includes an axial directional projection body 6 having mutually opposed side surfaces 4 and 5 in the R direction, an axial directional projection body 9 having a pair of side surfaces 7 and 8 mutually opposed in the R direction, and a rotation transmitting body 10 arranged between the rotary shafts 2 and 3 and contacting with the pair of respective side surfaces 7 and 8 of the axial directional projection bodies 6 and 9 in the R direction for transmitting rotation of the rotary shaft 2 to the rotary shaft 3 via the axial directional projection bodies 6 and 9. |
