RESIN COMPOSITION FOR ELECTRIC WIRE COVERING MATERIALS, AND INSULATED WIRE

Provided are: a resin composition for electric wire covering materials, which is capable of achieving a good balance between wear resistance and elongation in a single layer of a coating material; and an insulated wire which uses this resin composition as the covering material. This resin composition for electric wire covering materials has a polymer component that contains a polysulfone resin, a polyester resin and a polyester elastomer. This resin composition for electric wire covering materials is used as a material for an insulating cover layer (3) of an insulated wire (1). It is preferable that 1-50 parts by mass of the polyester elastomer is contained in 100 parts by mass of the polymer component. It is also preferable that the polyester resin is contained in an amount of 1-40% by mass relative to the total mass of the polysulfone resin and the polyester resin.
