The unit (1) has two fluid containers (4, 5), a fluid supply conduit (6) for a dental treatment apparatus (2) and a 3/2-way valve (3) for optional connecting one of the fluid containers with the fluid supply conduit. Each of the fluid container contains a level sensor, and a controller (16) includes a drive (19) for the 3/2-way valve. The controller switches the three-way valve for connection with one fluid container dependent on falling below a predesignated level of another fluid container, where the level sensor is designed as a weight sensor. An independent claim is also included for a method for continuous supplying of a dental treatment apparatus.
