PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device which can generate SC light excellent in wide range and flatness and can be inexpensively configured. SOLUTION: The light source device 1 comprises a pulse laser beam source 10 and an optical fiber 50. The pulse laser beam source 10 outputs a pulse laser beam (pump beam) of which the center wavelength is 1,064 nm band. The optical fiber 50 comprises a core made of pure silica and a clad made of silica glass into which F element is added, wherein a zero dispersion wavelength of ground mode is less than 1.3 μm. The optical fiber 50 inputs a pulse laser beam outputted from the pulse laser beam source 10 to an input end 51 and outputs a broadband light (SC light) in which the band is expanded due to a nonlinear optical phenomenon developed while the pulse laser beam is waveguided, from an output end 52.
