During heating operation, a problem arises in which it is not possible to furnish adequate subcooling. The air conditioner of the present invention comprises an indoor heat exchanger having an auxiliary heat exchanger (20) and a main heat exchanger (21) that is arranged on the downstream side of the auxiliary heat exchanger (20). The auxiliary heat exchanger (20) is arranged in front of a front surface heat exchanger (21a) of the main heat exchanger (21). During operation in a predetermined dehumidifying operation mode, all of the liquid refrigerant supplied to the auxiliary heat exchanger (20) evaporates partway through the auxiliary heat exchanger (20). As a result, only a portion of the upstream side of the auxiliary heat exchanger (20) is an evaporation region, and the area on the downstream side of the evaporation region for the auxiliary heat exchanger (20) is a superheating region.
|
