<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus with a constitution where the sticking of foreign matter can be smoothly solved without providing a special constitution. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus 100 provided with: a latent image carrier 1 capable of carrying a latent image; and a charging member 3 charging the surface of the latent image carrier by applying voltage to a charging member, the universal hardness of the latent image carrier 1 is set to ≥200 N/mm<SP>2</SP>, the latent image carrier 1 is coated with an organic compound 21 in which penetration (JISK-2235) is controlled to ≥3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
