PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radially sliding seal assembly which applies a pretension to a sealing surface with a uniform pretension force.SOLUTION: A measuring device includes equipment provided with a cylinder and a piston rod 128; and a sub-assembly 146 sealing a gap between a wall of the cylinder and a wall of the rod 128. The assembly includes a sealing element 112 and a pretension element 114. The former element includes a sealing section 112; a sealing surface 118 formed thereon for sealing and axially sliding contact with a working surface 144; a pretension surface 120 facing a second radial direction, which is formed thereon for engagement with the element 114 for pretension force transmission. The element includes a carrier and a spring segment 122 supported thereon, and the surface 144 is formed outside the rod 128 to face the inner wall of the cylinder. |
