PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk array device for reducing power consumption, a disk array system and a power saving method in the disk array device.SOLUTION: The disk array device includes: a current disk pool 836; a regular running disk pool 837 the total capacity of whose logical volumes is smaller than that of the current disk pool; state management means 831 for calculating the total capacity of logical volumes in use among logical volumes arranged in the current disk pool 836, for comparing the total capacity with a predetermined threshold, and for, when the total capacity is equal to or less than the threshold, determining that the logical volumes in use can be rearranged in the regular running disk pool 837; rearrangement means 832 for, when it is determined that the logical volumes in use can be rearranged by the state management means 831, rearranging the logical volumes in use in the regular running disk pool; and power supply management means 833 for, when there does not exist any logical volume in use in the current disk pool, stopping power supply to the current disk pool. |
