PURPOSE: The multi-layer cushion is provided to reduce the material costs by using foam materials for achieving optimum adjustment to human body and magnetic susceptibility. CONSTITUTION: The shim cushion is composed of at least two layers. The two layers are composed of an electron layer (M1) and an additional layer (M2). The electron layer has a higher deformability when compared to the additional layer. However, the electron layer has a lower magnetic susceptibility than the other layer. This additional layer is located farther from the surface of the invalid. |
