PURPOSE: A system and method for recognizing the position of a yard vehicle and controlling a work are provided to enable a manager to rapidly find products and protect the manager from accidents caused by the movement to a yard. CONSTITUTION: A method for recognizing the position of a yard vehicle and controlling a work is as follows. GPS information and weight information outputted from a GPS (210) and a weight sensor (220) formed on a yard vehicle (200) is transmitted to a management server (100) through a communication unit (230) and is managed in the management server. If a yard vehicle adjacent to products to be moved is selected through the managed GPS information, a work command is transmitted to a yard terminal (240) in the selected yard vehicle. After the work of the selected yard vehicle is completed, the yard terminal photographs the products. The photographed image information, the weight information of the products, and the GPS information of the yard vehicle is transmitted to the management server and managed.
