The device e.g. terminal (200), has a processing unit provided in communication with a memory that stores data of use date and identification data of a product to associate the identification data with the data of use date. The processing unit is in communication with a reception unit that receives messages from a wireless transmission unit. The processing unit is arranged to emit an alarm signal in the absence of reception of information indicating a utilization of a product in order to remind user to consume the product, where date corresponding to the product is about to be expired.
