A method and an apparatus for processing a retransmission protocol data unit in a mobile communication system are provided to reduce an overhead by forming one PDU(Protocol Data Unit) with a redivided PDU and a new SN(Sequence Number). A maximum PDU calculation process is performed to calculate a maximum size of the PDU on the basis of a physical element when receiving the PDU to be retransmitted(303). A retransmitting process is performed to retransmit the PDU to a next TTI(Transmit Time Interval) according to the recalculated size of the PDU(305). The physical element includes a signal type, a permissible voltage value, and a permissible current value in a present terminal. |
