PURPOSE: A leakage monitoring system and a method thereof are provided to determine a water leakage by synthesizing the data of a sound sensor, a contact sensor, and a water pressure sensor, thereby improving the accuracy of monitoring the water leakage. CONSTITUTION: A leakage monitoring system comprises a plurality of sensor units(140), a plurality of data collection units(150), a data transmission unit(170), and a remote server(180). The sensor units are respectively installed inside a plurality of protective jackets(130) surrounding each joint(120) of water pipes(110) and includes a contact sensor group, a water pressure sensor group, and a sound sensor group. The data collection units collect the data per the sensor groups from the sensor units. The data transmission unit transmits the data received from the data collection units. The remote server analyzes the data received from the data transmission unit, thereby determining the water leakage.
