PURPOSE: A method for diagnosing Phoma glomerata using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) is provided to simply and quickly classify and identify Phoma glomerata in imported seedlings and seeds. CONSTITUTION: A primer set for detecting Phoma glomerata contains a forward primer with a base sequence of sequence number 5 and a reverse primer with a base sequence of sequence number 6. A method for detecting Phoma glomerata comprises the steps of performing PCR using the primer set, and detecting Phoma glomerata. A kit for detecting Phoma glomerata contains the primer set.
