PHOTOACOUSTIC SIGNAL PROCESSING DEVICE AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain absorption distribution from a detection signal in a practical device.SOLUTION: A photoacoustic signal is generated in a test sample when the test sample is irradiated with light. The photoacoustic signal detected by a probe 11 is sampled by an AD conversion means 22 through a reception circuit. A differentiated optical waveform deconvolution means 25 deconvolves, as a differential optical waveform, a differential waveform of the temporal waveform of the light with which the test sample was irradiated. The absorption distribution is obtained using this deconvolution.
