In an endless conveyer consisting of a series of steel load-carrying plates 1 mounted on a central chain 2, each plate 1 carries a pair of mounting members 3, 3<SP>1</SP> having horizontal and vertical bores, flanged rollers 4, 4<SP>1</SP> being permanently mounted in the horizontal bores to engage supporting tracks 6, 61, while one or two vertical rollers 8, 8<SP>1</SP> are detachably mounted in the vertical bores, when curves in one or both directions have to be negotiated, to engage guide tracks 9, 9<SP>1</SP> positioned only on the respective curves. A track 9 or 91 is positioned on each curve according to its direction of curvature to restrain lateral movement of the conveyer under its driving tension towards the inner side of the curve. When curves are absent, rollers 8, 8<SP>1</SP> are omitted and the flanges 10, 10<SP>1</SP> of the rollers 4, 4<SP>1</SP> prevent lateral movement. |
