<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve one of on-snow braking performance and on-wet surface braking performance while maintaining at least the another, in a pneumatic tire. <P>SOLUTION: A tread pattern of the pneumatic tire includes in each region of both sides of a tire center line: two circumferential main grooves of zigzag shapes; first lug grooves extending from an inner circumferential main groove closer to the tire center line out of the circumferential main grooves, to a pattern end; and second lug grooves extending from an outer circumferential main groove provided outside in a tire width direction out of the circumferential main grooves to the pattern end. A wall of the inner circumferential main groove includes a wall surface with a groove wall angle varying along the tire circumferential direction. In an outer land section between the two circumferential main grooves, a notched lug groove which extends from one of the inner circumferential main groove or the outer circumferential main groove, in the direction of the tire width to close inside the outer land section, is provided.
