<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet recorder capable of preventing mixture in colors of ink inside ejection ports which respectively discharge different colors. <P>SOLUTION: A printer includes: a head 1 having a plurality of discharge ports for discharging inks of different colors from one another; a wiping mechanism 50 having a wiper 51 for wiping an ejection surface 1a; a pump for performing purging operation of emitting the ink; and a control part for controlling these sections to perform the purging operation, wiping operation and discharge-flushing operation. The control part performs the wiping operation after the purging operation, and in addition performs the discharge-flushing operation to discharge the ink sequentially from the ejection port through which the wiper 51 passes during the wiping operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
