<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a pedal from being detached from a base. <P>SOLUTION: In an accelerator pedal device 10, a mated part 64 of a pedal 60 is slid and inserted into a groove 42 of a mating part 40, and the mated part 64 and the groove 42 are mated with each other. Therefore, when the mated part 64 is attached to the groove 42, the mating part 40 is not required to be deformed in a manner that an opening of the mating part 40 is opened. An engaging hook 66 of the mated part 64 is engaged with an engagement hole 50. Furthermore, an upper wall 14 of a bracket 12 abuts on a stopper 52 of the base 20, therefore, the engagement hole 50 is prevented from being displaced in a direction in which it is separated from the mated part 64. Therefore, even if the engagement hole 50 is displaced in a direction in which it is separated from the mated part 64, the displacement of the engagement hole 50 is prevented, therefore, an engaged state between the engagement hole 50 and the engaging hook 66 is maintained, and the mated part 64 is prevented from being detached from the mating part 40.
