<p>PURPOSE: A refrigerator is provided to easily store or take food in or out of a plurality of baskets because the baskets is able to be separated from a receiving device and be drawn out through an opening of a first door. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator comprises a cabinet(10), a first door, a second door, and a hinge assembly. The cabinet has a first storage area in which a plurality of shelves are arranged. The first door has a second storage area and an opening for allowing access to the second storage area. The second door is pressed against the front side of the first door and seals the opening of the first door when closed, and the second door has an insulation thicker than the first door. The hinge assembly includes a first hinge which connects the top of the first door and the top of the cabinet and a second hinge which connects the top of the second door and the top of the first door, thereby allowing the first and second door to be opened and closed by rotating in the same direction. The distance from the center of the hinge axis of the second hinge to the lateral side of the second door which is close to the second hinge is shorter than the distance from the center of the hinge axis of the first hinge to the lateral side of the first door which is close to the first hinge.</p> |
