FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely coupling the components with a device for introducing a medical fluid. The fluid coupling unit comprises at least one fluid coupler, a coupling mechanism and a clamping mechanism. The coupling mechanism is coupled with at least one fluid coupler and designed to couple at least one fluid coupler with external drive for introducing the medical fluid. The coupling mechanism comprises a guide rod thimble designed to receive the guide rod of the drive for introducing the medical fluid when coupling at least one fluid coupler with the drive for introducing the medical fluid. The clamping mechanism is coupled to the coupling mechanism; it is movable into the clamping position or the unclamping position. The clamping mechanism is coupled with the guide rod of the drive for introducing the medical fluid when the clamping mechanism is in the clamped position. The clamping mechanism is detachable decoupled from the guide rod of the drive for introducing the medical fluid when the clamping mechanism is in the unclamped position. A method involving the stages whereat at least one fluid coupler of the fluid coupling mechanism is coupled with the external drive for introducing the medical fluid. The guide rod thimble of the drive for introducing the medical fluid receives the guide rod of the drive for introducing the medical fluid. Thereafter, the clamping mechanism of the fluid coupling unit is moved into the clamping position to couple with the guide rod of the drive for introducing the medical fluid.
