PURPOSE: An array substrate for an in-plane LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve the control of liquid crystal molecules by uniformly forming a gap between a common electrode and a pixel electrode. CONSTITUTION: A common line is separated from a gate line. A plurality of pixel electrodes(162) is connected to a thin film transistor(Tr) within a pixel area in a protection layer. The plurality of the pixel electrodes is separated from the data line. A plurality of center common electrodes(165) is formed with the plurality of the pixel electrodes. A concave groove is arranged on the protection layer corresponding to a gap between the pixel electrode and the center common electrode. |
