METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR AUTOMATICALLY SETTING LOCATION ID BASED ON PCI SNIFFING OF NEIGHBOR CELL IN FEMTO CELL

PURPOSE: A method for automatically setting physical cell identity sniffing based location ID of an adjacent cell in a femto-cell and a device thereof are provided to automatically set tracking area identity(TAI) like an adjacent macro cell in long term evolution(LTE) based femto-cell. CONSTITUTION: A location ID request unit(141) receives femto-cell ID, location information, and base station identification information transmitted from a femto base station. The location ID request unit requests location ID to a macro management server on a network. A setting management unit(143) manages the location ID corresponding to the base station identification information as location ID of a corresponding femto-cell. The setting management unit transmits the location ID to the femto base station.
