PURPOSE: A ceramic filter composition for purifying exhaust gas and a method for manufacturing a ceramic honeycomb filter are provided to increase the intensity and the porosity of a honeycomb by using anthracite coal ash as an auxiliary material. CONSTITUTION: Ceramic paste is shaped into a semi-plasticized body of a honeycomb form with a plurality of cells. The ceramic paste is based on cordierite and is obtained by mixing water with a ceramic composition. The ceramic composition based on anthracite coal air and metal oxides. Sealing material-based slurry seals the semi-plasticized body. The sealed semi-plasticized body is dried and plasticized.
