PURPOSE: A noise filter and an abnormality checking apparatus for the same are provided to confirm defective of a noise filter unit by blocking a noise inserted into power source. CONSTITUTION: A noise filter unit(10) blocks a noise of a power inserted into an input terminal. A noise generator(20) generates the input terminal of the noise filter unit. A first detector detects the noise power of the power source. A second detector detects the noise power of the power source outputted to the output terminal of the noise filter unit. A controller(50) determines whether to generate the noise based on a detection value of the first and second detection units.
