<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new creative golf club head configured by mounting a high-density weight to a sole of the golf club head. <P>SOLUTION: A high-density weight 406 with a significant amount of mass is supported by employing a thick sole part 404 with a special ratio with respect to a thickness of a surface area. Since a material to be employed for high-density weighting cannot be easily welded to a titanium material currently used for a metal wood type golf club head, a specific mechanical lock is employed to adhere the high-density weight to the golf club head 400 in a newly creative mount method. In a mechanical lock mechanism, a projecting extension part 407 extending from an inner surface of the weight and a lock nut 408 are engaged mutually by a screw groove. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
