<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide parallel bars permitting easy adjustment of horizontal bars without hindrance of a height adjusting mechanism to various walking exercise or height adjustment. <P>SOLUTION: The parallel bars include a pair of horizontal bars 16 extending in a horizontal direction, and supports 4 raised at intervals in the axial direction of the horizontal bars 16. Each support 4 has a plurality of actuators 12 for lifting the horizontal bars 16.
