<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve detection sensitivity and reduce cost. <P>SOLUTION: On photodetectors of a photoelectric conversion part in an image sensor, a structure is formed which has a plano-convex shape with a concave part at a center part. On the surface of the structure except the concave part, a light reflecting thin film is formed. A gel or liquid sample to be analyzed is stored in the concave part of the structure.
