<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of image processing of image data. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing device performs image processing on image data to be output to a printer that uses special gloss ink for printing, as print image data. The image data includes: hue information that is information on hue of an image based on spectral reflectance for a plurality of angles; and gloss degree information that is information on a degree of gloss of the image based on the spectral reflectance for the plurality of angles. The image processing device includes a specifying unit that specifies an ink amount set of ink to be used by the printer for printing, on the basis of the input hue information and the gloss degree information of the image data. The hue information and the gloss degree information to be used by the specifying unit for specification are calculated on the basis of a product of a non-gloss multi-angle spectral reflectance which is a multi-angle spectral reflectance of the image formed by combining inks of the printer other than the special gloss ink, and a gloss multi-angle spectral reflectance that is a multi-angle spectral reflectance of the image formed by the special gloss ink. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
