The method involves detecting a position of a vehicle. The detected position of the vehicle together with computed actual operating data of the vehicle are stored in a memory (11), where the data is associated to the detected position. The operating data comprises velocity and/or acceleration of the vehicle. Control of operation of the vehicle, during passing on the detected position, is implemented based on the stored operating data. An energy storage is utilized in the vehicle for storing driving power, which is provided in form of electrical charge. An independent claim is also included for a vehicle drive train.
